HEY Y’ALL! Today in “Self-Publishing in 2026 is Zesty,” it seems that Amazon’s still not showing/sending review reminders to Kindle buyers, so it falls upon me to pester you with that. 😭

How do I know? Most previous releases of mine had 50+ ratings/reviews within a few days of launch, but Havoc‘s still sitting at a mere 16 after over 2 weeks, despite that being statistically stupid, relative to the size and general enthusiasm of my readership – and the hugely positive reactions to this book in particular.

That said, it would be AMAZING if y’all would pop over to Havoc‘s Amazon page and leave a lil’ review – or even just a rating. 😄 Both are equally helpful in different ways, and help give the book a little push in Amazon’s algorithm.

*Also, since I’ve had some readers ask:

I don’t think it’s active sabotage on the part of Amazon, but rather a consequence of Havoc just chancing to launch in another weird algorithm-tweak period.

Rankings and categories were weird for A LOT of harem authors starting at the beginning of June … but I’ve seen several harem titles that released last week with roughly the sort of rankings and review numbers I’d expect those authors to have.

I think what’s happening is that because Havoc released during an algorithm-tweak/glitch period, its metadata is somehow screwed up on Amazon’s end (even though everything’s showing as it should be on my end), which is affecting its listing specifically.

It’s the sort of thing that should even out eventually … but you can also see why I’m increasingly de-prioritizing Amazon as part of my launch strategy. 😐
