This year’s a low con year for us as we focus on writing projects, but we’ve got one more coming up in September—and it’s extra exciting! 😁

See, Jacob’s one of the Guests of Honor at P-Con in Fort Worth, TX! 😄 I had an absolute blast as last year’s Literary Guest of Honor and am totally pumped that Jacob gets to join in on the fun.

(I suspect Artist Guest of Honor Cedar Sanderson took some inspiration from Jacob for the above convention art, but even if she didn’t, that’s my headcanon now. 😉)

But that’s not the only thing that’s cool about this year’s P-Con. Its leading Guest of Honor is David Weber himself, along with Sharon-Rice Weber! Plus, if you’ve listened to any of our audiobooks under this Edie Skye pen name, you’ll recognize the name Daryl Mayfield—and he’s also a special narrator guest! 😃

Basically, if you’ve enjoyed any of our stuff under any pen name or collaboration, P-Con’s the best place to be this year.

Rounding out the guest list is Wally Waltner as Wafflemaster and Charles E. Gannon as Science Wrangler!

Tickets are already available and the hotel is small, so if you want to stay on site, it’s better to reserve sooner rather than later.

We’re going to be Masters of Ceremonies at LibertyCon 38, June 26-28, 2026 in Chattanooga, TN! (Yes, it says “HP and Jacob Holo” but y’all know our worst-kept secret. 😉)

LibertyCon is one of our favorite sci-fi and fantasy literary cons – we frequently describe it as our geek family reunion (not to mention an amazing networking con for authors and aspiring authors) – so it’s a tremendous honor to be chosen.

But we’re easily the least exciting ones on the guest roster, because LOOK AT THE PEOPLE WE’RE INTRODUCING, Y’ALL! 😮

Hey, y’all! 😄 Our 2025 con season kicks off this weekend with MarsCon in Virginia Beach, VA (January 17th-19th)!

We’re on a handful of panels and will be hanging out in the bar between them, so if you’d like to hang out or swing by to get stuff signed, just look for my hair (or Jacob’s bowtie)! 😁

SIGNING TOMORROW! An Afternoon with Authors @ The Tangled Web in Spartanburg, SC

Hey, y’all! Exciting news for fans of book signings and awesome authors!

Jacob and I have a group signing with David Weber and Jason Cordova coming up THIS SATURDAY, October 26th at The Tangled Web comics and games shop in Spartanburg, SC (418 W. Blackstock Rd; Spartanburg, SC 29301).

I’ll be moderating a panel/reading between the four of us from 2-3pm, and then we’ll be signing/generally hanging out from 3-5pm! 😁

Also, some special perks!

First, the shop has an ~ AMAZING ~ coffee bar, and I aided in several drinks of delicious testing to help design The Beany, just for fans of Jacob’s Freelancers of Neptune!

Second, if you purchase any of our books from the shop, you’ll get 10% off your entire purchase (*some exclusions apply)!

Also worth knowing: The shop’s event room has seating for about 20. After that, it’s standing room only, so if you want to ensure a seat near the front, be sure to get there early.

A P-Con Update! (Sadly, Jacob had to drop out. 😔 Edie’s still going, though! 😃)

Hey, y’all. Jacob was excited to be one of the Guests of Honor at P-Con 2024 – so it’s with heavy regret that he has to drop out this year. 😔

The TL;DR of why is:

Jacob suffers from chronic nerve pain. A procedure back in June was supposed to alleviate the pain, but didn’t … and long story short, we’ve spent the entire summer just *waiting* for other potential solutions to be approved.

He’s found some minor ways to make it day to day, but ultimately his nerve pain’s so bad right now that he can barely sit through his drive to work – which makes con-level activity impossible.

Thanks for understanding, and he hopes to be able to see y’all at a future P-Con.

However, I’m still coming, and I’ll be bringing ~ extra hijinks ~ with me to compensate for Jacob’s absence. (And y’all know how many hijinks I have on me already. It’s gonna be wild. 😁)

One such compensation is this fun bit of nonsense – i.e. a last-minute ✨ P-Con Exclusive ✨ bookplate hand-drawn by me. (So fancy!) The finals will all be signed by Jacob and available for the grabbing at our book table.

Hey, y’all! 😃 If you’re on the Patreon, you’ve already heard, but if not:

Jacob and I are set to be Guests of Honor at P-Con in Fort Worth, TX September 20th-22nd!

The con was a bit delayed in getting its updates off the ground due to staff health issues and whatnot, but relevant information is starting to come in.

Namely, that it’ll be held at the Holiday Inn DFW Airport South, and the room block is now open! 😄

P-Con’s an itty-bitty new con – and small cons are my favorite because they allow me time to actually hang out with readers rather than spend all my time rushing from panel to panel.

Most importantly, though, it’ll be the furthest west we’ve gone thus far. 😮 (Usually we stick close to home for East Coast cons.)

That said, if you’re on the western side of the US, it’s a perfect chance to meet us in person! 😄 I look forward to hanging out with as many of you as I can. 😊
