At last year’s FantaSci, editor Rob Howell told me he was putting together an anthology of heroic people doing noble deeds and asked if I’d be willing to contribute a Titan Mage story.
Since Titan Mage is chock full of heroic people doing noble stuff, no way was I gonna say no!
My entry in this one continues the adventures set up in Giant Freakin’ Robots. Titled “Romancing Some Rock,” it follows Rion and Sevas as they help a hot girl escape her crappy Vasori family by adventuring for a neat shiny rock. 💎 As Adventure Heroes do.
It’s a fun, wild read that plays on a lot of my favorite adventure movie tropes. (If you’re wondering whether the title is a reference to Romancing the Stone, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a beer in this story named Jewel of Denial. 😉)
